Upcoming second graders are asked to choose at least five books to read over the summer and to bring one of the books to school for a book report. Students should list all the books read on the form - My Summer Reading Form Link.
In addition to their own reading, second graders love to hear great books! Don’t miss out on reading to your child!
Choose five books to read from this list. At least one should be a longer fiction book, and at least one should be a non- fiction book. You may read either specific titles given or other books by the same authors on the same level. Keep a list of the titles and authors of these five books to give to your second grade teacher. Choose one of these five books to bring to school for a book report. Teachers will help students with the book report, but you will need the book in class.
