On Friday, October 12, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of its 1947 founding with a convocation on the North Campus. The observance will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a procession behind a bagpiper to the lakeside platform where graduation is normally conducted. The procession will consist of the K through 12 student body (Lower School students from the South Campus will have been bussed up), faculty and staff, corporation, former trustees, and visiting clergy.

The convocation will be presided over by the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi, The Right Reverend Duncan M. Gray III. The service will also feature readings by St. Andrew’s students; prayers by a former school chaplain, The Reverend Shannon Manning, and the current school chaplain, The Reverend Jennifer Deaton; and a homily by The Very Reverend Edward O’Connor, Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew in downtown Jackson.

Parents and alumni are welcome to attend, however there is standing room only; the seating has been reserved for students and faculty.

The St. Andrew's 60th Anniversary celebration for parents and alumni will be held November 3 at the Starry Night gala. More information about Starry Night is forthcoming.
