60th Anniversary Convocation

St. Andrew's Episcopal School celebrated the 60th anniversary of its founding last Friday with a convocation help beside Lake Sherwood Wise on the North Campus.

The procession consisted of the K through 12 student body, faculty and staff, corporation members, former trustees, and visiting clergy.

The convocation was presided over by the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi, The Right Reverend Duncan M. Gray III. The service featured readings by St. Andrew’s students; prayers by a former school chaplain, The Reverend Shannon Manning, and the current school chaplain, The Reverend Jennifer Deaton; and a homily by The Very Reverend Edward O’Connor, Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Andrew in downtown Jackson.

The St. Andrew's 60th Anniversary celebration for parents and alumni will be held November 3 at the Starry Night gala. More information about Starry Night is can be found here.
