What to bring to camp:

The most important thing you can do is LABEL EVERYTHING. LABEL EVERYTHING. LABEL EVERYTHING. I can't stress this enough. If you don't label your camper's stuff, there's no guarantee that the stuff will make it back home. First name, last name: PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING.

EVERYONE BRINGS:

A BAG.
Your camper should arrive with ONE bag that holds all of their stuff, if possible. Zip that bag up. Label that bag!

ONE COMPLETE CHANGE OF CLOTHES.
No matter how old the camper may be - accidents happen. It's best if everyone has something to change into in case that ketchup packet goes rogue. Be sure to label those clothes!

A WATER BOTTLE, FULL OF COLD, DELICIOUS WATER.
We have Hydration Stations all over campus, so your camper will always have a chance to refill their bottle. Be sure to label that bottle!

LUNCH.
We provide a morning and afternoon snack, but you need to send a healthy lunch with your camper each day. There's always cold water available in the commons and around campus at our Hydration Stations. Be sure to label their lunchbox!

A HAT. SUNGLASSES.
We're outside a lot. Hats and sunglasses help keep the sun off heads and shoulders and out of eyes. And they help your camper look cool! Be sure to label that hat! And those sunglasses!

A TOWEL. LABELED WITH YOUR CAMPER'S FIRST AND LAST NAME.

SPRAY SUNSCREEN AND SPRAY INSECT REPELLENT.
SPRAY is the important word here. If needed, camp staff can only assist your camper with application of SPRAY sunscreen and/or insect repellent.
Please apply suncreen (and insect repellent, if desired) to your camper about 20 - 30 minutes before you drop them off at camp.
Send both in a labeled Ziploc bag.
Camp staff will make these items available to your camper throughout the day - we will prompt each camper to re-apply each day as needed.
Staff will not assist campers with non-spray sunscreen and/or insect repellent.
Staff will assist younger campers with re-application of spray sunscreen and/or insect repellent as needed.
Camp staff will notify parents if sunburn or excessive insect bites are observed, and the camper will be removed from outside activities for the remainder of the day.

*St. Andrew's is diligent in our mosquito control efforts in the summer months.*
