The Touchstone Endowment

A touchstone is an ideal—a benchmark against which future efforts are measured, a tangible and lasting standard of genuineness.

The Touchstone Endowment is a solid financial foundation that provides for the ongoing and future needs of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School.  The principal is invested and held in perpetuity, with the income used to fulfill the donor’s wishes.  While some endowment funds are restricted for a particular use such as scholarships, continuing education for faculty, the arts, the science program, etc., funds generated from the Unrestricted Endowment assist the overall budget.  These funds provide support for all aspects of the school’s program such as faculty salaries and benefits, athletics, the arts, financial aid, and academic programs.

Gifts to the endowment of any size are greatly appreciated.  With a minimum gift of $20,000, you may establish a permanent endowment named in honor of yourself, your family, or a loved one.

As of August 1, 2013, St. Andrew’s endowment stood at more than 10 million dollars in gifts and pledges.  The Board of Trustees is committed to continued growth of the endowment.
