The St. Andrew’s pre-K 4 program is a captivating learning experience that encourages exploration and prepares children for future learning.
The morning begins with a group circle time, followed by a small group time during which the children work together with a teacher to develop fine motor, math, or reading skills. The academic program is a comprehensive, thematic and integrated curriculum that embraces children's natural curiosity and encourages them to explore, play and learn about the world around them. Our program is organized around "Big Experiences" that engage children and integrates social, emotional, academic and physical development.
The pre-K 4 program integrates art, music, and fun-filled activities involving blocks, calendars, attendance rosters, graphs, and games in daily classroom life. Field trips and guest speakers reinforce concepts and further expand students’ vision of the world. Socially, children learn to get along with others and become independent members of their classroom community and of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal School family.
The Pre-K4 program is enriched through our special areas: Music, World Languages, Art and Science, Stretch-n-Grow and Little Chapel.
