Early childhood students are filled with wonder and creativity. Yoga and mindfulness practices are a magical fit for kids this age. They are like sponges, waiting to soak up every experience through sensory discovery and personal interactions. Young children bring a free-spirited joy that makes them such a great group to learn with.
This class allows imaginations to soar when fueled with music, storytelling, breath, movement, and relaxation. At any given time, the room can turn into a scene from The Land Before Time as the kids wave their arms like wings, crawl on hands and knees, or assume a down dog-like position. Everyone is laughing, smiling, learning, and playing. This is what Happy Panda Yoga and Mindfulness is all about — it's light-hearted, creative, energetic, and most of all, FUN!
The children will discover skills that grow with them, instilling lessons for life. These practices supply their inner and outer world with peace, while learning how to calm, focus, and relate to others. We will incorporate fun yoga games that encourage social interaction and communication. Yogis will also learn specific breathing techniques and mindfulness activities that facilitate relaxation and build attention skills required for focused learning.

Tiger Rock curriculum develops both sides of the body with symmetrical movements. When learning takes place in this balanced manner, both hemispheres of the brain are encouraged to develop simultaneously. Our students learn to focus their attention, increase their confidence, and improve their coordination.
The main emphasis of the program is to provide the instruction, structure, and environment to enhance the development in all of our students. This specialized program is focused on the particular needs of their ages including physical maturation, coordination, social skills, self concept, attention span, mental acuity, safety awareness, and self discipline.
Each step in our belt ranking system represents the development of a physical, social, or life skill. Students strengthen their ability to process instructions, focus on objectives, and interact amongst peers inside an energetic and fun martial arts based experience.
Whether it is learning to block, to be more aware of strangers or learning about leadership, our students win the day through play-based action scenarios, staged physical challenges and cognitive development drills.
They will learn about sharing and safety and they will also have lots of fun!
Also included with the enrichment is the opportunity to come train at our main academy location: 125 Dyess Rd. in Ridgeland. We have classes on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
