Discovery Center
The St. Andrew's Discovery Center offers students and teachers an opportunity to experience science, technology, math, arts, and engineering in our labs and makerspaces. The Lower School Library supports STEAM endeavors through access to both digital and print resources, information literacy instruction, and research opportunities.

St. Andrew's subscription sites can be accessed without a username and password on a St. Andrew's computer. If you need a username or password, please contact your classroom teacher or the librarian.

Tech Lab
The goals of Tech Lab focus on two areas. The first area, computing skills, includes typing and basic coding. The second area, digital information technologies, includes word processing in Microsoft Word and Google Docs, and digital literacy. -
Science Lab
The goals of the Discovery Center Science Lab are to introduce and explore the different disciplines of Earth Science; the hydraulic cycle, geology, astronomy, biology, chemistry and play ground physics. We strive to pique, stimulate and reinforce interest in science using; hands-on, inquiry-based, STEAM centered activities. -
Math Lab
The goals of the Math Lab are to enrich students through problem solving and practical applications of math in the real world. The use of concrete materials, peer collaboration, and a open work space provide students a chance to be innovative mathematicians. -
Makerspace
The Makerspace is a platform to inspire learning with STEAM integration. The Makerspace goal is to engage our students with powerful ideas, while incorporating collaboration and team building.
