St. Andrew’s works to continually support the physical well-being of each student by introducing skills, strategies, and information to encourage long-term healthy life-style choices. Using multi-faceted and holistic approaches, students participate in age appropriate fitness curriculum, curriculum to address human growth and development, and programs that focus on taking care of their bodies and minds.
Our fitness programs are designed to improve aerobic and anaerobic fitness, musculoskeletal fitness and flexibility. Fitness programs are organized by division, including ECC fitness which focuses on locomotor movement and body awareness. In elementary school the students improve their understanding of fitness and their motor development through cooperative games and other lifelong activities.
