Educational Philosophy

Each child is a unique and whole person with their own learning preferences and strengths. With this in mind, our gifted and dedicated faculty strive to meet our students where they are and to help each one of them learn and grow, utilizing various instructional methods but embracing a distinctive approach to education.
Grounded in the school’s mission statement, our approach to education strives to balance the pursuit of excellence in key areas – academics, arts, athletics, and “glocal” service – with a firm commitment to moral responsibility, spiritual growth, and lifelong learning and wellness.

Informed by educational neuroscience and best practices in independent schools, our approach to education focuses on right-sizing challenges and opportunities for each student while maintaining high standards for all students.

Guided by our Profile of a Saint, our approach to education is age-appropriate, both in terms of meeting the varying developmental needs of young people aged 3 to 18 and in terms of helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and perspectives that will best prepare them for their futures, including being able to creatively and collaboratively solve problems with people from different backgrounds and cultures on our increasingly interconnected and populated planet.
