Experience the St. Andrew's Middle School

Middle School students learn to relate abstract concepts to practical applications, and to ask questions.

Curriculum

St. Andrew’s Middle School offers a challenging, integrated curriculum that meets the social-emotional, physical, and intellectual needs and interests of adolescents. Middle School students begin to think abstractly and more globally, and to wrestle with how big questions impact their lives and our world. As critical thinkers, students are called upon to question rather than be satisfied with the simple acceptance of new ideas.

Service

Twice a year, the entire Middle School student body and faculty leave their classrooms behind to embark on a full day of service throughout the Jackson metro area.

Faculty

The Middle School advisory program matches each student with a teacher who builds a close relationship with the student. This teacher serves as the student’s advocate and mentor, and as a trusted point of contact for the student’s parents.

Student Support

The Student Support Services Department uses a holistic approach to meet the varied academic, physical, social/emotional, and spiritual needs of our diverse Middle School student body.

Athletics

In Middle School, students can play a variety of sports. On average, over 80% of students in grades 7-12 participate in at least one sport.

Spiritual Growth

In addition to weekly chapel services, Middle School students may participate in religion classes that explore scripture, ethics, theology, and the world’s religions.
