Profile of a Saint

Perspectives

At least as important as knowledge and skills are the perspectives that St. Andrew’s students take into the world. These perspectives help define who our students are as citizens and neighbors, not just as scholars, artists, or athletes – and people whom we are proud to claim as our graduates.
  • Self-awareness and recognition of oneself as a citizen of multiple communities
  • Honor and a commitment to not lie, cheat, or steal
  • Awareness of and gratitude for one’s own privilege – from both a local and global perspective
  • Compassion, empathy, and respect for the dignity and worth of others
  • Environmental awareness and respectful stewardship of our shared habitats
  • Wonder and curiosity about our world and universe
  • Embrace of complex problems, struggles, and challenges
  • Flexibility, tenacity, and the ability to apply each appropriately
  • Motivation to continue learning, pursue excellence, and do meaningful work to improve the lives of others
