State Champions!

Saints win out over 42 MHSAA 3A teams to take the school's 1st ever basketball State Championship!
The Saints varsity basketball finished their historic season in the best possible way – STATE CHAMPIONS! The Saints emerged from a field of 48 MHSAA 3A schools and beat three number-one seeds – North Panola, Tylertown, and Holly Springs – to claim the school’s first ever state championship in the Mississippi Coliseum. Garrison Wade was named MVP of the championship game and was also named an All-Tournament Player with averages of 20.0 points per game and 17.0 rebounds per game. Super freshman Rashad Bolden was also named an All-Tournament Player and calmly knocked down nine free throws in the closing minutes of the championship game to seal the victory for the Saints. Garrison and Rashad were not the only ones recognized for their valiant efforts, fellow teammate and starter William Harkless was named Scholar Athlete of the Year in 3A. Kudos to all these great young men!

Coach Cronin wants to thank the SA community, fans, students, administrators, parents, and alumni from all over the world who reached out to him and offered their support and congratulations. “The outpouring of support has been so overwhelming and gratifying, I truly consider myself lucky to be a part of St. Andrew’s. I’m grateful that everyone finally saw the side of SA that I have known all along. We can be and will continue to strive to be excellent in all our endeavors!” MHSAA officials noted that the St. Andrew’s community showed up in record crowds and was the best contingent of supporters that they have witnessed in the coliseum. Go Saints!
