Passing of the Light Chapel
The service marks symbolically the seniors taking their gifts and talents outside St. Andrew's to share with the world and the Juniors assuming their place as leaders for the upcoming school year.
The Upper School gathered for the last chapel of the year, our annual service of the Passing of the Light from the senior class to the junior class (photos from the service are here). The service marks symbolically the seniors taking their gifts and talents outside St. Andrew's to share with the world and the Juniors assuming their place as leaders for the upcoming school year. It is tradition for seniors to be selected as readers and speakers for the service. This year's readers were Tovah Rubinsky and Jack Ditto. The speakers were John Spencer Jones, who focused on overcoming setbacks and failures to discover your true passion, and Isabel May, who focused on the care and compassion for one another that is prevalent in the St. Andrew's community. |
