Honor Chapels
At this year’s Honor Code Chapels St. Andrew’s veered from tradition in order to create a new one – one in which all 4th to 12th grade students, faculty, staff, and administration signed the Honor Code pledge regardless of whether or not it had already been signed. This annual signing at the beginning of every school year will be an outward and visible sign of our commitment to ourselves and to each other that we all work to create a community of integrity. These pages will be framed and displayed in the lower and middle school offices and the upper school Pantheon so that everyone may recognize this cornerstone of our school. Head of School Tom Sheppard gave a wonderful address at both middle and upper school chapels about the role of the Honor Code in his own life, while Anna Kathryn Becker, the Honor Council prefect, spoke at all three services. Many thanks to Kirk LaFon, Annie Elliott, Shea Egger, Dawn Wilson, and Ray McFarland – all of whom were invaluable in working out the logistics of each chapel service, and the Honor Council did a beautiful job facilitating students during the services.
