Pre-K3 Fall Festival

Parents were invited to spend a morning with their students to say hello to fall and to experience how teaching takes place in early childhood at St. Andrew's
Our pre-K3 students have been learning about what it's like to live on a farm and have been noticing all the changes occurring as we welcome the season of fall. Pre-K3 parents were invited to spend a morning with their students to SAY HELLO TO FALL! to experience how teaching takes place in early childhood and see how much fun our pre-K3 little Saints have when they are learning. "The beautiful autumn weather certainly added to the wonderful time we had with our students and their families and special friends as they rotated through a bevy of autumnal activities," says pre-K3 teacher Ellen Ford. "There was a pumpkin painting center led by Mrs. Davis; a cooking class led by Mrs. Crongeyer in which the students made apple sauce; a photo booth run by Mrs. Tucker that featured family photos and decorating picture frames; and planting winter vegetables and herbs in the Pre-K3 Earth Box Garden with me. The conversations were lively and the laughter was contagious. It gave us great joy to see our parent community spend time with our little Saints, meet other parents, and hopefully take home material for conversations at their dinner tables. We also want to send a 'hip, hip, hooray' to the St. Andrew's Parents’ Association (SAPA) and Home Depot for helping us get the seedlings that the children and parents planted, including cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, curly kale, and sweet basil." Here are photos from the festival.
