Kevin Lewis Named Head of School

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is pleased to announce that Kevin Lewis has been named the new Head of School, becoming the 13th Head of School in St. Andrew’s 74 year history. Kevin has led St. Andrew’s as Interim Head of School since July 2021. He was unanimously selected by the school’s Board of Trustees. 

Kevin joined St. Andrew’s in 2004 as the school’s business manager and then Vice President for Finance. For the past ten years, he has served as Associate Head of School and Chief Financial Officer. Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant who received his Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy from Mississippi State University. In 2018, he received a Master of Education in Independent School Leadership from Vanderbilt University. Kevin and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of two St. Andrew’s students, Emma, class of 2020, and Sophie, class of 2023.

Since Kevin took the financial reins at St. Andrew’s, the school opened the McRae Science Center in 2011 and concluded its most successful capital campaign, Forward Saints, raising over $14 million and completing construction of the Early Childhood Center, Athletics and Recreation Center, and the Chapel of St. Andrew the Apostle. As Interim Head of School, Kevin launched St. Andrew’s newest program, Foundations, welcoming children under three years of age to the school for the first time.

Having thrived in many ways during the global pandemic, St. Andrew’s is beginning a new cycle of strategic planning and preparing to celebrate its 75th anniversary. There is perhaps no better time in the school’s history to appoint someone with Kevin’s level of knowledge, understanding, and respect for what makes St. Andrew’s great.”
