Global Voices: Holiday Traditions

Over the past week, Lower School students have learned about Christmas traditions in Venezuela from Lower School Spanish teacher, Maya Buford. Catherine Bishop, North Campus Dance teacher, joined her to perform a traditional Christmas dance from Venezuela as well! Students then rotated to the Discovery Center where Pre-K4 Instructional Assistant, Tammy Rubinsky and her daughter, Tovah, taught students about Hanukkah and how to play Dreidel. A special thank you to Mayson McKey, who has helped us launch Global Voices this semester along with the many community members who have been involved thus far! It’s been a wonderful time learning about different cultures from folks in our community!
