St. Andrew's dance students recently traveled to Belhaven College to observe and participate in some of the many classes held each day in the college's dance department. Students observed Professor Ravenna Tucker Wagnon, former principal dancer with The Royal Ballet, teach a ballet class, as well as a pointe class taught by Specialty Instructor Elizabeth Sweatt. The afternoon was more interactive with modern class taught by Professor Clara Grace Watts and Professor of Music Owen Rockwell. 'Doc Rock' allowed the students to help create music, and Watts invited the students to participate. Before heading back to school, the students performed an Irish dance to a very enthusiastic and appreciative audience!
