Alumni Awards

The St. Andrew's Loyalty Award will be presented to Mr. Peter Fisher '89 and The Rev. Paige Ford Fisher '89. The Fishers received multiple nominations for this award because of their extraordinary loyalty to St. Andrew's. Even though the couple has not lived in Mississippi since their graduation from St. Andrew's, the Fishers continue to support the school from afar. The Fishers have served in numerous roles including as class and regional alumni representatives, reunion planners, and currently as a member of the Board of Trustees (Peter). We are grateful for the Fishers' dedication to the advancement of St. Andrew's and are thrilled to honor them with this award.

 

The Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award will be presented to Keith Smythe Meacham '88. An experienced and creative entrepreneur, brand strategist, and skilled leader in startup and non-profit organizations, Meacham has developed an impressive resume of business and non-profit leadership successes in education, children's media and non-profit management. In 2013, Meacham became a founding member of ed-tech startup Homer. Homer is the #1 Learn-to-Read program powered by your child's interests: an educational app for iOS and web that teaches a child to read and develops crucial early childhood cognitive skills. Through multiple venture rounds and an acquisition by the children's digital storybook company Speakaboos, Homer has evolved to a 60 person startup, where Meacham led brand marketing, partnerships, and teacher growth. Currently, Meacham is the co-founder and principal of Reed Smythe & Co in Nashville, which collaborates with artists and artisans across the south and beyond to create beautiful, unexpected pieces for house and garden. Meacham co-founded Reed Smythe & Co with the late Julia Reed. What began as a passion project has grown into a thriving business recognized by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest and other business and design publications as a company to watch. We are proud to present this award to our outstanding alumna, Keith.

 

Recipients will be honored and presented with their awards at the annual Alumni Awards Dinner this Thursday at 6:00 pm. Upper School students will also have the opportunity to hear from the recipients this Friday during a special assembly.
