Senior Joshua Crockett was invited to serve as the keynote student speaker at a recent event recently celebrating the tenth anniversary of Mississippi's charter school legislation bill. Originally passed in 2013, this legislation created the existence of public charter schools in our state, including Midtown Public Charter School, where Joshua attended from grades five through eight. Joshua credits the school with providing him with the solid academic foundation that enabled him to thrive at St. Andrew's. The event brought together legislators, philanthropists, charter school operators, and other supporters of school choice.
