The north campus at St. Andrew's hosted the 22nd Annual Saints Classic Speech and Debate Tournament, featuring competition in sixteen different events. This tournament, one of the largest in Mississippi, saw 29 schools from 5 states in attendance.
The Revelation staff editors have expanded the depth of student media on multiple platforms, including a new and improved online paper, a broadcast program called the Saints News Network, and a quarterly newsmagazine, which will debut in late October.
St. Andrew’s Episcopal School rising senior Ishan Bhatt won the 2018 National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) National Tournament, naming him the top high school Lincoln-Douglas debater in the United States.
The baseball State Championship was the 6th state title won by the Saints this year, making 2017-18 the most successful year in the 70-year of St. Andrew’s. From a field of 46 3A schools in Mississippi, the Saints emerged victorious in baseball, boys basketball, boys cross country, boys swimming, girls track and field, and tennis.
The entire student body came together on the North Campus to celebrate both the 70th anniversary of the founding of St. Andrew's Episcopal School, and the 70th birthday of Head of School George Penick.
After two days of competition, St. Andrew’s competitors captured all four spots in Policy Debate, three of the four spots in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and a handful of spots in other events, leading to a total of 17 students punching their ticket for our nation’s capital.
St. Andrew's is hosting Rumble in the South on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Rumble in the South is the premier basketball tournament in Mississippi, featuring 9 Dandy Dozens, and 6 of the 10 Super 10 high school teams. The games are streaming live at gosaints.org/rumble.
