Cissy Croft will shift from a part-time role in the After-School Care (ASC) program and subbing to serving as a part-time assistant for second grade.
Hannah Doggett will shift from her role last year as a kindergarten assistant to teaching second grade. Prior to joining the St. Andrew’s faculty, Hannah gained experience interning at a wide range of schools in the Jackson area, including Brown Elementary, Spann Elementary, New Summit, ReImagine Charter Prep, Midtown Public Charter School, and MS School for the Deaf. Hannah earned Bachelor degrees in education and business administration and a Master of Business Administration from Millsaps College.
Kate Dutro will serve as our new Lower School Librarian. She brings to the role elementary classroom and librarian experience at two schools as well as experience as a youth services librarian. Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and education from Millsaps College and a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Library and Information Service from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Shea Egger is transitioning from the third-grade classroom to Interim Associate Head of Lower School. She has over 10 years of teaching experience in both public and private elementary schools. Additionally, she enjoys teaching elementary education courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Shea holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Mississippi State University as well as a Master of Education in elementary education, an Educational Specialist in Elementary Education certification, and a Doctor of Education in elementary curriculum and instruction from Delta State University.
Kerri Freeman will teach second grade. She spent the last year pursing her Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. Previously, she taught second and fourth grade in the Rankin County School District. Kerri received her Bachelor of Science in elementary education, Summa Cum Laude, from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. She is a member of the American School Counseling Association.
Lillian Lee will transition to a full-time position as the Lower School innovation and technology teacher. Most recently, she has worked as a substitute in the Lower School’s Discovery Center Library and as a facilitator at Mississippi College’s STEM Institute. Lillian brings to the role laboratory experience as a microbiologist and toxicologist. Lillian earned her Bachelor of Science in toxicology and biology from Northeast Louisiana University.
Mary McCall McArthur will teach first grade. For the past five years, Mary McCall taught first grade at Ann Smith Elementary School, serving as first grade team leader and a member of the District Technology Committee. She has earned her National Board Certification and Early Childhood Generalist certification. Mary McCall holds a Bachelor of Arts in education with an emphasis in English and math from the University of Mississippi.
Wanda Purser will transition from a Pre-K4 teacher to a part-time learning specialist, focusing on supporting our youngest learners in the Early Childhood Center.
Nicole Robinson will move from the kindergarten classroom, where she has served for the past three years, to teaching art and science in the Early Childhood Center.
Huma Sadiq will shift from her role last year as a part-time teaching assistant for second grade to a full-time teaching assistant for kindergarten.
Pat Sudduth will shift from the second-grade classroom to a part-time learning specialist. For the first part of the school year, Pat also will serve as a long-term substitute in Mary McCall McArthur’s first-grade class.
Crissie Walker will join the Lower School as the administrative assistant. She has over nine years of experience in accounting. For the past two years, Crissie volunteered as class administrator for the Bible Study Fellowship in Jackson. Previously she served as a volunteer coordinator for Arts on the Green and as the logistics and financial chair for Farm to Table. She earned her Bachelor of Accounting from Mississippi University for Women.
Amanda White will be a PK4 teaching assistant. She has worked in St. Andrew’s After School Care and summer camps, as well as at the Jackson Zoo. Amanda earned her Associate of Arts from Holmes Community College and currently is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in childcare and family education at Jackson State University.
Dawn Wilson joins the St. Andrew’s community as Head of Lower School. She has over twenty years of teaching and administrative experience in both charter and public schools in FL, MA, and WY. Under her leadership, her most recent school, Snowy Range Academy in WY, earned accountability ratings of exceeding expectations for four years. Dawn earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications and her Master of Arts in urban education from Clark University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in school administration from the University of South Florida.
