Junior Avery Stallings Selected to Participate in New York Theater Workshop Promoting Social Justice
Congratulations to junior Avery Stallings who was the only student from Mississippi selected to participate in the New York Theater Workshop's Youth Artistic Instigator program — a new program bringing together 25 high school students from across the country to create bold, activist theatre. Over the course of 10 online workshops, students met under the guidance of NYTW’s expert Teaching Artist Nana Dakin to collaborate, create, and perform an original piece of theatre responding to urgent current events.
