Sol Mundinger '97

Sol was part of the team at the University of Maryland R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center that performed its first face transplant in 2012. Today, he works at LSU Health New Orleans as Associate Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Associate Professor of Cell Biology and Anatomy; Director of Pediatric Plastic Surgery; Craniofacial Center Director; and Plastic Surgery Residency Associate Program Director. Over the course of his career, he has earned multiple awards, including the Johns Hopkins Medicine Miller-Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence Frank Coulson Award for Clinical Excellence.
