This asynchronous virtual course takes students through the process of selecting, preparing and presenting monologues, famous speeches from history, and original speeches, and impromptu speaking.  Students will have the opportunity to work on a range of texts and styles to gain confidence as speakers and apply their skills in scenarios ranging from university interviews to speaking in class presentations and acting on stage or on film. This class will help students find their voice and show off their public speaking skills. Generous feedback and live interview and performance tips will benefit students who take this course.  This course is geared toward High School seniors who wish to gain experience as polished and professional speakers for college admissions or job interviews, school presentations, and for any student who wishes to hone their acting skills.
