4th Grade Crossing Service

The Class of 2027 is ready to make the long-distance journey from the south campus to the north campus, and their preparation was celebrated in the 4th Grade Crossing Service. At the closing lower school service of the 2018-19 school year, rising 5th graders received their certificates signifying successful completion of the 4th grade, and special recognition was given to those students who received awards for individual accomplishment. Those awards are:

The Citizenship Award – This award is given to fourth graders who, in the eyes of their peers, best exemplify integrity exhibited by characteristics such as courage and fair-mindedness, cooperation, loyalty, honesty, and reliability. This award was established in honor of former Lower School teachers Mimi Peterson Murray and Madora McIntyre. The winners are: Ben Croft, Sohan Reddy, Christine Moody, Bryant Weatherspoon, Millie Kerr, Hannah Midgett, Mary Mac Sorrell, Brandon Jung, Alice McElroy, and Ayden Seale.

The Craig Durrell Bluntson Memorial Award – This award was created by Craig’s family and friends in honor of his love for St. Andrew’s School. The Bluntsons wish that God will continue to bless and keep the recipients of this award; give the recipients and their families continued advancement, joy, peace, and protection; and provide them with healthy meaningful lives, and increased love for being St. Andrew’s Saints. The recipient of the 2019 Bluntson Award is Jake Parker.
