i2 – Inspire & Innovate

Where collaboration inspires innovation and prepares students to solve real world challenges.

i2 Team – What We Do

We lead educators and innovators committed to helping teachers develop measurable strategies that maximize learning.

We offer everything from tech-centered ideas to pedagogical best practices learned from years in the classroom.

We support the individual goals of professional teachers, not pushing any particular teaching method over another.

We document and curate the innovative work you are already doing to further inspire our colleagues.
i2 Classrooms – Where We Innovate

Three remodeled i2 classrooms will serve to support a range of innovative, research-based technologies that bolster teaching and learning.

These new classrooms will serve as living and breathing research sites that support teachers by measuring impact and improving practices.

Teachers, students, and parents are encouraged to visit the i2 classrooms so that we can explore every possible perspective on how the space might be used.
i2 Labs – Where We Find Inspiration

i2 labs are brainstorming hubs where teachers can go for professional support, additional resources, and fine-tuning of ideas.

i2 labs will feature both “drop in” hours when teachers can imagine new possibilities as well as a schedule to arrange meetings with particular i2 team members.
The Journey to i2

A taskforce of educators was assembled to explore advances in learning environments. After much research and travel to schools around the country to observe best practices, the taskforce concluded that most classrooms today are built for lecture, not learning. Learning is no longer a static process, and the classroom experience is no longer passive. Students need an active classroom that encourages and allows them to think and create, engage, and explore.
