Principles of honor and integrity are ingrained in the St. Andrew’s Episcopal School experience from pre-K3 through graduation. The St. Andrew’s Honor Code helps students at every grade level accept responsibility for their conduct and actions. The Honor Council, a group of Upper School students elected by their peers and guided by a faculty advisor, enforces the Code.
St. Andrew’s students expect their peers to act morally, responsibly, and honorably. When “peer pressure” means being encouraged to do the right thing, the result is greater trust and greater freedom.
Honor Code Chapel
At the beginning of the school year, a special chapel service celebrates fifth graders, as well as any new St. Andrew’s student, signing the Honor Code book in front of the entire Middle and Upper Schools. This service serves as an open renewal of the impact of the Honor Code on students’ lives and the entire school community.
